For nineteen years, Clovis has been my home. It's where my husband and I raised our family, built our small solar business, and found our village. My life here is rooted in service, whether working as a paraprofessional in the Braille Transcribers' office for Clovis Unified or living out the values of community service that I learned as a lifelong Girl Scout, raised by a Girl Scout, and raised two of my own. Community service is at the heart of who I am, and I feel it is my time to give back. I am running for City Council to be a voice for those in Clovis who feel unrepresented and unheard. Every member of our community deserves to be represented equally, and I am ready to bring your voices to the table.
Clovis needs a sustainable, forward-thinking approach to affordable housing that works with current residents while drawing in young professionals and working families. The city was caught without a plan when it lost its lawsuit, and that cannot happen again.
Clovis residents deserve safer roads, less congestion, and a more robust, user-friendly public transit system. Growth must come with infrastructure investment, and Measure S, Better Roads, Safe Streets is essential to making those upgrades a reality.
The illegal use of Flock surveillance cameras in Clovis is a civil liberties concern that must be addressed. Residents deserve transparency and accountability in how surveillance technology is used in their community.
